US schools are having their 'mobile moment' with tablets

US schools are having their 'mobile moment' with tablets

A new survey in association with STEM Market Impact has demonstrated just how big the tablet market is in US schools. It shows that most schools now use tablets, with many districts funding tablets for their classrooms.

One of the most striking statistics for us is how many breakages are reported. Almost half of respondents sited damage to the tablets as being one problem with using them in the classroom. With 45% reporting damage, it seems like the big question for tablet makers will be how to make their products more rugged and easier to hold.
